What's the best refresh-rate for my monitor?
What's the best refresh-rate for my monitor? It's an LCD manufactured by Hanns.G. The model is HC194DP.
The main reason I ask is that I want to improve the frame-rate in games. For that matter, how can I ensure that my monitor is properly configured; drivers, that kind of thing?

I can't find the figures for your model but I've got a HU196D and the refresh rate on that is 60Hz.

So, in display properties>settings>advanced, do you have the option to go from 43Hz to 180Hz?
I can't find the figures for the HC194DP either.

LCD monitors don't have refresh rates so there's no need to set one.

If you do gaming and enable v-sync, you can up that to trick the card into spitting things out faster. Since the average human eye can only perceive up to 60fps it's not worth the time or effort to go any higher.
