[SOLVED] Gigabyte 9600gt (infinite loop)

Hey all well i only got my card yesterday. I upgraded from my 7600gs AGP so i also got a whole new mobo/cpu.
Currently i am running

Gigabyte p35-ds3l
Gigabyte 9600gt
Intel E4600

Nothing has been overclocked, but when i try to run counter strike(could happen to other games too not sure) it just goes on infininte loop "-ticrate 75 -tickrate 75 -noforcemparms -noforcemspd -noforcemaccel -dxlevel 81 -w 1024 -h 768 -heapsize 1048576"
i listed tickrate twice cause i dnno which ones the right way of spelling it.

Never use to have a problem with those command lines on the 7600gs, and im pretty sure that my board doest have PCIe 2.0 hopefully thats not the problem cause i really dont wnat to exchange my board. haha

note: didnt work on default drivers & latest drivers.

Re: Gigabyte 9600gt (infinite loop)

Try another game and see if you have problems, if not, reinstall CS and try again.

If the problem remains, do this:
  1. Download and install this: http://europe.giga-byte.com/FileList...pset_intel.exe
  2. Restart.
  3. Uninstall nvidia drivers from Add and Remove Programs
  4. Download this and install it: http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745
  5. Run driver cleaner for nVidia and ATi
  6. Download this (BUT DON'T INSTALL YET): http://us.download.nvidia.com/Window...glish_beta.exe
  7. Restart in SAFE MODE (tap F8 on restart)
  8. Install the nvidia driver
  9. Restart normally.
Post results. If the above doesn't solve it, update your motherboard bios if needed.
