8800 GT SLI Artifact and Glitch help needed
First off, I will give the run down of what Im running. I just recently finished building a gaming PC for myself.
Intel Quad Core 2.4Ghz Cooler Master 690 Case eVGA 780i Motherboard Antec 850W PSU 4GB OCZ SLI Memory 2 X XFX 8800GT XT Edition 750GB Sata HD Samsung 25.5" LCD Monitor With all this stuff, I should be on Cloud 9, and happy but Im not. At first I was getting a weird glitch when changing settings in World of Warcraft. That lingered for a couple days, and after an update from Nvidia, and Windows Vista SP1 that issue went away. Im not overclocking, simply because I dont need to. I know some people think its just lost productivity, but for me its not worth the trouble. Virtually any game I want to play should run. Now after a few days of all the other trouble being fixed, I am running into two annoying glitches. The first is a weird mouse glitch, the mouse will have like some artifacts following it around. The cursor is not just a simple white arrow as normal, and the "junk" following it gets in the way and it is annoying. Second, usually a minute or two after the cursor junk, the system freezes, and I have to reboot. I am running the cards in SLI mode. Some people I know recommended disabling it, but that is really the reason I bought two video cards. Any suggestions? Ill take any and all tips and advice friends. Again heating isnt an issue, and I am NOT overclocking Last edited by thamann2000; 03-31-2008 at 03:16 AM. Reason: add mobo info |
