Computer noob.. Help please! Nvidia won't install!

Hello everyone!

As the title suggests, I am completely clueless when it comes to computer programs/hardware...
And lately I've been having more trouble than I usually have, so I'd REALLY appreciate any help/enlightenment from anyone, thanks!

I am really into nexon.net games, and I've been playing Audition for a while, but I decided to start Mabinogi. When I started the game, it said my graphic card wasn't good enough so I decided to download a newer version of nVidia's geforce..
After I downloaded it from the website, when I began to install it, it said " The nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware."
I looked this up on the internet, and it seems to be a common problem with many different reasons and solutions. I couldn't find what I could do to fix it though..

I know I had nVidia drivers before, but I deleted everything from my computer thinking it would fix my problem.. I remember seeing something like display driver and all that when I was deleting (first of all, I don't even know the difference between display driver, forceware, tnt2, geforce, etc).
Now my computer now says it has an Intel(R) 82915 graphic card/chipset family...

All I want to know is how I can get Nvidia back on my computer. I know I had it before, and I just don't know how to get it back. It says on my computer that I have DirectX9.0 (the files are in the WINDOWS folder in my local disk if that is relevant at all). I would love it if anyone could help me..

Thank you so much in advance, and sorry for the reallllly long explanation!

Re: Computer noob.. Help please! Nvidia won't install!

you don't have a card in there you have a onboard intel video chip
so you cannot load any nvidia driver with it
drivers will not fix the problem of a low powered video chip or card
you need to check what type of video slot you have available and purchase a video card to go in it
you will find on most occasions you will also have to upgrade the power supply to run it
so whatever price the card is you will need to add on avg.around $90-100 to the price for a power supply
if you don't know what is in the computer this will tell you

Wow.. Okay, thanks..
I guess I was confused because I had been able to install nVidia programs before.... But that was way back then.

Thanks for all the help! I'll have to save up money for a card

Edit: Btw, how do you tell if you a card or not?
Thanks :D

Re: Computer noob.. Help please! Nvidia won't install!

you listed this Intel(R) 82915 graphic card/chipset family
a card would be stated as
ati
or
nvidia
use pcwizard to see what is in there and what slots are available

[When I started the game, it said my graphic card wasn't good enough ]
i don't think the driver will help just an updated card
