[SOLVED] nVidia WDM Video Capture

Just reinstalled Windows XP a few days ago after a crash and am getting back to speed with all the programs and re-installing them etc..

My only serious problem now is that I am getting no sound.

I get this error message on my PC after starting up

"This device cannot start (Code 10)"

And the same message when I go into Device Manager and try to reinstall it. Reinstalling the program failed by the way.
So now I am at a loss as to what to do next. How do I get this driver for the sound card (nVidia sound/ graphics card) if reinstalling from my drivers CD isn't doing anything?

Please Help!

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Re: nVidia WDM Video Capture

Yes, sorry for harsh reaction - but I am able to use Google, so I may have to pay to have my driver replaced??

Re: nVidia WDM Video Capture

what about this one
http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/21...-download.html
we use google all the time it is impossible to upload the driver even if we had it because of the size and you should avoid sites that ask for payment for a driver
it'sa matter of locating the right one
the only information that can be used in the search is what you post
i.e.
nVidia WDM Video Capture

Could this still be a hardware problem - I had a crash which caused me to have to reinstall Windows, so might it have damaged the sound card?

I checked the status of the soundcard using Help and Support, it says 'not installed'?
Do I need to run an add new hardware wizard somehow? I do have a soundcard, lol..

Waaaaaa! I got sound, but I am a moron!!

It's working now after I went back and checked the list of things that you have to install on the A8V-VM Chipset Support CD - there was something I failed to install the first time due to rushing to get everything done after the crash! There was just too much, I missed it out..shoot me?

Re: nVidia WDM Video Capture

It sounds like you need to install the chipset drivers. So we can help you determine which ones, please download PC Wizard from my sig and install it. Then go to FILE, SAVE AS and click ok. Then copy that text into this thread.
