Confused Faster and Less, Or Slower and more?

Hello, its me again.

I have yet another noob question.
With the Gainward 8600GT, Should i buy MORE memory, but DDR2, or LESS Memory but Faster DDR3?
Mainly, i want to use my pc for games such as: CoD4, Kane & Lynch and all new releases. Which one will be better? my friend recommended me to buy the faster, 256mb one.
My options are:
256MB (DDR3)
1024MB (DDR2)

Thanks in advance!

i dont think your motherboard will accept DDR3, and even if it does its not fast enough to compensate for 1024 ddr2. get ddr2

I'd go with the 512MB of GDDR3. Most games barely need more than 256MB anyway.
