Video Card Help

I don't know exactly what video card I have, but I bought this computer game that is compatible with Vista, called The Settlers: Rise of an Empire... Only thing is, it says it requires a minimum of 70 MBs of video memory, and it only detected 62 MBs on my laptop, can someone give me an alternative way of fixing this besides spending a boatload on buying and installing a new video card, anyone at all, that would be so great...

Thanks,

Re: Video Card Help

u might beable to go in to the bios and increase the video ram that way. although even of you can do that i would hold my hopes up on a lapptop gpu to be up to the job.

Re: Video Card Help

However not all laptops come with this feature. Some more advanced one adjusts itself according to how much system ram you have installed

Re: Video Card Help

most laptops come with onboard video chip which means you cannot upgrade it
and most are not designed for running games very well
how much ram is in the laptop 2g is the best option for vista 1g the minimum
