Hangs up every time!

Hi!

Can someone help me out! Everytime i start a game, my computer hangs up. Sometimes i can play for 3 min, but usually it hangs up before that.
It doesnīt matter what game i start.

I have a Pentium 4 with XP pro sp2, 1Gb RAM, Geforce 6600GT

I have downloaded the newest driver.

I canīt even play games that req 800Mhz!

Re: Hangs up every time!

Also, check your temperatures and PSU voltages during gameplay.

Run SensorsView or SpeedFan at startup and note the temperatures and voltages. Then run a 3D fullscreen game for a few minutes. Leave the game running, alt-tab back to the desktop and note the temps/volts again. Post back with both sets of figures.

Re: Hangs up every time!

Is that at startup or during gameplay? We need to see both to see how your system copes under stress compared with at idle. If the graphics card (GPU) temperature goes much higher during heavy graphical activity, that could be your problem.

Post back with the details from the PSU label. Make/model, total watts, amps for +12V.

Which processes are listed in Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) as using the CPU while playing a game? Click the CPU column header to re-order the list from highest to lowest.
