System crash on starting and quitting games, new video card
Hi, I am pretty new to pc details, but i'm learning, and I cant seem to fix my problem,
Lately I've buyed a new ATI RADEON HD 2600 XT with the silent pipe II Heat sync (no fan, but I installed a 2 fans that fit in a pci slot). I installed it witout a problem, and when a game runs, I run it with hi FPS with everything at High and AA 2x. But the problem is that my pc crashes upon entering or quitting games. I.E. CS source makes my pc reboot when I quit the game. At first I thought It was my monitor (VGA LCD seen as default monitor), but upon buying an ACER 22" Widescreen DVI, I unfortunately had the same problem My pc is a HP pavillion a1430n, with original motherboard, processor dual core 3800 gHz, 2x 512 ram (1 gb), new Antec 500 watt power supply, and new ATI RADEON HD 2600 XT video card I tried many things, but nothing seems to fix the problem. It seems to occur when I switch for game 3d mode to desktop mode. With the old Nvidia integrated graphics card (in the motherboard), everything worked fine, except for the crappy FPS and graphics. Now I have the latest drivers, Catalyst control center and everything. DirectX 9 too, but the test cube spins super fast. I'm out of options Its driving me crazy, and I have a big LAN party soon, will suck if the problem is still there Anyways, thank you for your time Jp |
