[SOLVED] Looking for a new GPU
Hi,
Im looking for a new graphics card for my computer. My motherboard allows me to have a PCI-E x16. I am looking for a GPU around 512mb around the price of £90-100 GB Sterling Pounds. Here are 2 that i have found. http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(16554)...DDR2-PCIE.aspx http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(31429)...DDR2-PCIE.aspx I would like it to be 2 DVI and not VGA. What do you think of the ones that i have posted above? If you can find a better one still in the price range in the UK that would be great. My other half has told me that this is the best place to come for computer support, So my fingers are crossed. Thanks

Re: Looking for a new GPU
Leanne,
The 3650 is the better of the two but I'd look for just a 256MB model as opposed to the 512MB model. You'll save a bit of money.

Re: Looking for a new GPU
Another reason I suggest the 256MB model is that the card only has a 128-bit bus. While it will allow all the VRAM to be read it won't be able to take the fullest use of it as it's simply too narrow.

Re: Looking for a new GPU
Can you tell us what your other system specs are (eg. motherboard make + model, cpu, and ram)? Those are fine choices, but with your budget, you could get a better video card, such as an nvidia 8800gt. However, there would be no point without the cpu power to back it up.
