Gforce6600 256

new motherboard with all new drivers. video card with updated drivers. Now have artifacts and loss of images in WOW and banding and loss of resolution in Google Earth. Also updated directx9. am at a loss.

usually caused by bad ram on the video card or a failing power supply or a combination of both
can you try the card in another compter to check it

uninstall the drivers and then restart and reinstall again in safe mode.

I had this happen to me yesterday.

power supply is new, mb new, ram good. card works until going to increased resolution. 3d seems to be the problem. thanks for suggestion.

post your system specs including the power supply
brand and wattage
try the card in another computer and see if it is ok or has the same problems

dai, power supply is new Antec 500 watts, Memory is 1 Gig, Mother board is PCchips m848a v5, also new. Video card works in other PC. Suspect SIS chip set on MB ? Video is fine until starting to move characters in WOW also get artifacts. Zoom in Google Earth and screen loses resolution and starts banding. Sorry about late response. Been building new system.

check your drives are running in dma mode
