OK, I bought a PNY nVidia GeForce 6200TC 256MB PCI graphics card. My PC is an Asus p2b98-xv (AWARD 4.51PG) with a 450MHz PII (OC'd to 463MHz
). The Mobo has an onboard ATI rage pro turbo 2x agp (that's why i bought a pci card). With the older setup, I could get 1024x768 at 75Hz refresh rate. Now, I installed this card successfully, but I can only run 1024x768 in 60Hz even though the adapter supports it, the monitor goes dead until I esc back to 60Hz. Also, what should the VGA aperture be set to? I have 320MB SDRAM on the MoBo, and bios will let me go up to 256MB. PNY Tech doesn't even have a number I can call... I'm getting good effects, but a "hitch" now and then when running Winamp with the AVS windowed with desktop overlay on.

Re: Need advice for GeForce settings
You need to go into bios and set video to pci, instead of agp.
I tend to set aperture size to half of the onboard video ram, but you can play around with those numbers for your best performance.

Ok, I did say I got it working, I knew to disable the onboard graphics... Another quick one: how (if possible) do I get the onboard graphics to function as a second desktop?- I have a composite out for my tv I would like to use on the mobo.
