hi, desperate help with a geforce xfx 8800 gtx! Graphical problems

hi, i just bought a new geforce 8800 gtx last week ,and since them , i am noticing problems in games, like textures changing with out of the place colors and textures , it is kind of subtle sometimes, other times is more annoying , especially since is a powerful card and should not give any problems. It has all the drivers updated , of the card , and all , the bios, motherboard , chipset, videocard , i removed the old drivers with driver cleaner , carefully and many times.
It use to get hot , but now i am letting open the side , and putting a fan directed to it , so idle the temperature is 60C or 58C , and when gaming it scalates to usually 65C , and sometimes 76C , the most 79C , but no more.
Before , when closed and no fan , used to be in a hot day and idle at 81C.In a lot of games i see the texture problems, i will attach images, also , sometimes, let say , every three time that i start my computer , y see that is in the minimum resolution , even if I didnt move it , and the computer dont guve me any advice or notice.
You see, i need for the card , two 6 pin connectors , but here in Bolivia, there is no power supply that has two , only at the most one, so i bought one, and used an adapter , like the one of the geforce 8600 gts, for putting the power, so it works normally i guess, but this problems are
putting me in stress , because i dont know why is happening , and nobody knows really in where i am , so , please, somebody help me , already i am talking with the xfx support , but they take a time in their answers, i want to deal with the problem as fast as i can .
My Pc specs are :

Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4 GHZ 4MB
MB Asus P5NSLI Core2Duo , 1066/ddr2 667
Memory , Sure ddr2 1gb/667 (2 memories)
Geforce xfx 8800 gtx
Power supply A Power Pure Black 680W sata dual fan Atx Power Supply
Windows Xp sp2
Monitor Lg Studioworks 554V

Also , this are the pics, please , any help will be appreciated

Also happen similar sometimes with Crysis , but it is when i putt on the "light" with the weapon , only like the stripes in my images , but more obvious , purple, like squaring the light emanating of the flashlight , very obvious, and, yes ,all game are updated.
Also , a rare thing is that when i put a least a little in those games , more specifically Crysis and STALKER(the images are from it) , all the problems are solved, but in the case of STALKER, i start to have problems with the shadows, like if my character is the sun , and with any step is dissipating shadows.
Sorry for the lenght , but i want to cover all so somebody can help me more fast and accurate.
Thanks!

Re: hi, desperate help with a geforce xfx 8800 gtx! Graphical problems

hi , me again , i have more pics , about what is happening , in this case , the game dawn of war.
Sometimes , when i Alt+ tab , and go to the desktop , and then again to the game, the problem dissapears, and it happens sporadically , not içlike the case of STALKER .
About the reply before, i dont understand if it is an advertisement or else, but thanks anyway , sadly i dont have that Power supply available in my country , hardly. If someone knows what this graphics problems are , please , help me!

My System

Re: hi, desperate help with a geforce xfx 8800 gtx! Graphical problems

If that psu was $19 then your seriously underpowering your system. This will give you the errors you're seeing.

a Better PSU ( Suggested by Dai ) Will fix it.

Re: hi, desperate help with a geforce xfx 8800 gtx! Graphical problems

but, seeing my power supply , do you think it doesnt give enough energy ,
it is 680 W , also , it costed me 33$ , do you think , seen the images, that is caused by the power supply, because in Monday i will go to ask for replacement, and i want to be sure, and if possible, can you tell me why do you think so? . Least thing i want to do is spend more money for nothing.

Re: hi, desperate help with a geforce xfx 8800 gtx! Graphical problems

i think the problem is caused by splitting into two 6 pin connectors
the only way to know is to find a psu with 2
borrowed preferably so you can check
or run 2 power supplies in tandem
