display driver error has happened and has recovered

I have been having a constant problem when playing video games on the PC. Every 10 minutes or so the screen freezes for 2 seconds then disappears and reappears back to normal. A message appears saying display driver error has happened and recovered. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? My computer is a T5226 Emachines desktop pc.

Re: display driver error has happened and has recovered

Hi vits, and welcome to TSF

Get the latest Graphical Drivers to your graphics card.

When this error happens on Vista it usually indicates a problem with the graphics card itself. Mainly with the cards RAM failing

Re: display driver error has happened and has recovered

I have updated a new graphics card i got (ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro), i have a 350 watt power supply which is enough for the graphics card. I also have new ram. I still get the porblem with the screen fading. I have another graphics card that came with the computer and its built into the harddrive. Its an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. This problem has been happening ever since i got the computer. If you have any other ideas please tell me.

Re: display driver error has happened and has recovered

It's probably not the monitor because I've had this problem in the past on a CRT, and now it happens on an LCD monitor. Now that I look at it, the little error notification bubble actually say "Display driver has stopped responding and recovered." Don't know if that makes any difference.
