HIS 3850 is squealing...

I just installed an HIS IceQ 3850 Turbo (not Turbo X), and when I go to the overclocking section of ATI Tray Tools, and hit the Show 3D Render button, the card immediately makes a high-pitched squeal...not horredously loud, but loud enough to easily notice it. What's odd is that the squeal doesn't take time to develop, as if the fan is spooling up when the card is under load. Maybe its just my interpretation of what qualifies as "immediately," but it starts literally the instant I hit the Show 3D Render button. Is this card defective, or what? Thanks!

NOTE: While in the 3d render mode, the squealing fluctuates, and when i hit the Scan For Artifacts, the squeal stays at its current pitch at that instant as well... strange...

Also in support of what Dai has said, make sure you have connected the additional power connector to the card.

The additional power connector is connected, so that's good. I'll check the fan for obstructions again, but I didn't see anything initially.
