Which card?

Basically, my 9800xt is artifacting and I need to replace it.

My choices have come down to these 4...

Nvidia 7600GS
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130076

Nvidia 7600GT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130099

Ati X1650GT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161205

Ati 2600XT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102711

Which do you recommend for someone who can't afford a PCI-E setup?

here are my specs:
DFI Lanparty 875B
P4 3.0GHz
2048 Corsair DDR400 PC3200
Thermaltake 430watt Psu (18A on 12+)
Western Digital 7200rpm 60gb
Ati 9800XT
Hyundai ImageQuest L90D+

Re: Which card?

it was in the same position as u a while ago, I was going for a 7600gt, i'd reccommend you go for the 7600gt also. the 2600xt is direct x 10 compatable bt it isnt a powerfull card. the x1650 is on par with the 7600gt

i dont think their are any more ddr3 version of both x1650gt or 7600gt available in agp, only ddr2

but if both are in the same price range with the same memory id say go for the 7600gt

however if the 7600gt has ddr2 but the 1650gt has ddr3, then go for which ever has the ddr3, as these cards are incredibly close performers(i think) and the memory tech will be the decider

and the 7600gs is a weaker (but cheaper) version of the 7600gt

chck this link out too

Re: Which card?

For a agp setup I would recommend the x1950. They are a little expensive but was the fastest agp card ever made , so if you get it you will know you have the fastest you can get. The 2600 xt is good too I can say from experience its a nice card. And if you want to go with the 7 series I would recommend the 7950. The 7600's are good cards but don't perform very great with todays games. The 7950 would last you a little longer into the future .

So I'd say the 2600 is the best in your list, would recommend the x1950 , and if your going with nvidia to get the 7950.
