I want two video cards
Good morning,
i have a graphic card on board, plus i have another one, a PCI GeForce 3, i would like to be able to have a dual screen on my computer, where both screens would show the same desktop, is it only me or this thing is a pain to configure? at this point :) any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

Re: I want two video cards
indeed i have two monitors, and i would like to have a shared desktop with both graph cards, my PCI card does not have two out only one, is there a way to configure both cards to get them to show only one desktop?

Re: I want two video cards
Alas, you can't use both the on board graphics and your graphics card for two monitors. There are however a few possibilities.
Your best option, would be to replace your graphics card with one that has a dual output. If you like the one you have/don't want to spend the money on a new one, the next best choice would be to get a video splitter which would allow you to set up another monitor and you would not lose any signal strength, but these can often be expensive as well. The cheapest option would be to purchase a VGA-Y splitter, but doing so would halve the signal strength and thus providing lower image quality to both monitors. |
