COD:4 Problem, Video Card.
I have a stock Dell Dimension3100 computer, got it 2 years ago. Only thing I have ever changed/added was more RAM..... I bought COD:4 yesterday, and after installing, get the error that everyone else gets..
Error during initialization: Video card or Driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data. I went ahead and bought a semi-cheap one from Staples, get home, open my computer to see my old Video card was HARDWIRED on to my motherboard.... So my question; can I install this new Video card? Is my computer not capable at all of playing this game? Not sure how to get my comp specs, but here is what I gathered; Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz 2.79 GHz, 1.99 GB of RAM is what it says in System Properties. Help, please! :) |

Re: COD:4 Problem, Video Card.
The computer has a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 which is integrated and is not powerful enough to play cod4. You will need to upgrade, and the board has a PCI-Express slot so you should be right.
