3D graphics card issues

OK, just to let everyone know I'm knew to these forums so please no flaming this is my first thread.

-----------------
Background Story
-----------------

Alrighty, so this morning I woke up all excited to go out and get a brand new 1GB RAM stick for my computer. So off I go to my local electronics store. I get home and all goes well with putting it into my motherboard. I reinstall World of Warcraft, ready to give it another shot after being dissapointed by my previous lag when I had it installed before. When I get it all installed I go to run the program and get an error message stating "World of Warcraft was unnable to start up 3D acceleration. Please make sure DirectX 9.0c is installed and your video drivers are up to date." So slightly worried I got to thinking. The only major change I have made to my computer since my previous WoW playing days is the upgrade from Windows XP service pack 2 to Windows Vista Ultimate.

So I go through various Blizzard support sites and do everything they recommend short of getting a new graphics card (install newest directx, check for driver updates ect.) still to no avail. So I take apart my computer case once more to see if anything may have came loose while I was adding my new hardware, nothing had. I send some pictures to my friend from different angles and he claims that I have no video card and it all runs through my motherboard. This doesn't hold up for me though since I was previously able to run WoW on my PC with no problems (except the expected lag from a 512MB hard drive). He also directed me to a website that told me all the compatibility issues with my computer. Here are the pictures of the inside of my computer, my dxdiag stats and a screen shot from the compatibility website.

Any advice would be extremely appreciated.

Re: 3D graphics card issues

My guess is that WoW can run on non dx9 video cards but as soon as you upgraded to vista, VISTA wont run the game using anything lower then dx9. My recommendation would be to either go back to xp or get a video card. You have a agp slot open so you could upgrade.
