Post Running 3 Monitors

Hello,

I am customising a pc to buy and i have a question about the graphics card.

I want to be able to run 2 19 inch monitors through DVI AND at the same time an HDTV through HDMI using this graphics card -

ATI Radeon HD 3850 PCI-E x16 256MB Video Card

Is that possible or will i need another graphics card?

Thanks

Re: Running 3 Monitors

The card wont be able to run all 3 of them at the same time , but you will be able to hook up the monitors to the dvi ports and the hd tv to the s-video ports. But when you run the hd tv you will have to disable one of the monitors.

Re: Running 3 Monitors

Okay,

So saying I wanted to do some editing, or colour correcting across the 2 monitors and use my HDTV as a prveiw monitor - the only way I could do this is with 2 graphics card, is that right?

Thanks for the reply :)

Re: Running 3 Monitors

Yes most cards can only run 2 screens at a time as its not comon for a pc to use more then two, so in your case yes get two gpu's.
