Re: PCI Question

Hi.

Yes they would work in SLI, You will just need to make sure your PSU provides enough power.

However, i would just get one single 8800GT 512MB, As it will outperform the two 8600's.

Re: PCI Question

Afraid not. For the Two 8600's you would need something like the Antec Trio 650W, Thermaltake Toughpower 650w, OCZ GameXstream 600W.

Re: PCI Question

You would still need a new quality PSU with around 600-700W.

Re: PCI Question

Hawman is correct on the power supply, although I would not get less than a 650 watt with an 8800 card.

I also am not fond of the OCZ 600 watt and I personally would not recommend that one with an 8800 card. The OCZ 700 Watt is however, an excellent PSU and many times close to the same price as the 600 if on sale.

Re: PCI Question

If its a nonbrand psu ( which it probably is ) then it more than likely wont work.

Even if it does work it will put the psu under strain and cause it to burn out in a few months - This could kill your motherboard, psu, etc

Re: PCI Question

Take a look at the sticker on the side of the PSU, You'll need at least 26a
