[SOLVED] Warcraft freezing up Geforce 8600gt
Just built this system all drivers have been updated before you ask.
Intel E6750 dual core 2 gig corsair ram nvida 680i motherboard - sli ready but only using 1 card. Geforce 8600gt 500 watt power supply OS - XP This system runs great, however when I run Warcraft its locking up...I have to do a hard reboot. This could happen 10 min. into the game or 3 hours into it. any suggestions would be great! Last edited by talletd; 01-05-2008 at 09:04 AM. |

Open the case and look on the PSU label for the make/model and amps for +12V.

Re: Warcraft freezing up Geforce 8600gt
Had a similar problem with an Xpert Vision 7300GT superclocked.
From what I can gather it seemed the psu didnt like anything intensive. Instead of losing 15 fps in a bad area I was losing 50 or so (when running 60 max!). Change of PSU and it seemed better. Check the pci-e power plug is in too, mine wasnt, and that again helped. |
