Re: nvlddmkm.sys error?
Update Direct X here : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
Update your nVidia drivers here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us If that doesn't work download PC Wizard from my sig and go to: FILE / SAVE AS [name of file] on your desktop (save it as is to your desktop) then open the file and copy the text in this thread and copy the lable on the side of you Power Supply Unit (yes open the case) to me. I suspect your PSU is underpowered. Welcome to TSF BTW!

Re: nvlddmkm.sys error?
umm 1 thing...
1. im on a laptop and im not opening it up to give you the power source... that would be pointless and none the less that would void the warrenty i have the lastest directx and i also have the lastest drivers.. i can not get drivers of nvidia's site because i have a toshebia and it is not accepting the exe files from nvidias site.. says i have to go to toshebias site which i did and it is still crashing. for the power issue.. it is plugged in not running on the battery so if it is underpowered something is overclocked and idk how it got that way because i didnt do it :P (wanted to but never felt like doing it because im too lazy) Code:

Re: nvlddmkm.sys error?
Interesting
First of all, the 8600 is rubbish. Especially on a laptop system and on a 19" screen. Also, just because you bought it from a shop, doesn't mean it is right. Please do as i say with PC Wizard. I do know what i am saying and I am trying to help you. A blue screen is usually due to driver, memory or power issue. BUT an 8600 is not designed for games, so it may be causing issues if you try to use it for that. BUT until we know more, please specify your exact machine using PC Wizard. Cheers Also, i would bet cash that this is a driver error. Please download the latest nVidia driver on your desktop. Also consider the Laptop nVidia drivers from my sig. Then uninstall the curent driver. Then restart in SAFE MODE. Install the new driver, Restart. I could equally bet cash you're mobo is cactus as well though

Re: nvlddmkm.sys error?
I've done the driver updates, I've downloaded PC Wizard, I've done my windows updates. None of those affected this error for me.
I still recieve it a few minutes after opening WoW, sometimes I'll make it a couple hours. However it doesnt blue screen me, all it does is freeze, then a moment later say: XXX driver has crashed but has recovered. I'm at a loss here, pls help. |
