Please i need help with a Powercolor x1650 card.
First off nice site.And Hi.
![]() my M/B: MSI pm8m-v (ms-7104 v.1.0) P/S: coolmax AP-550x (V-500) 500w cpu: Intel P4 celeron 3.06Ghz okay i bought a card ,a Powercolor x1650pro 512mb agp,and for the life of me cant figure out whats going on.The first one would get to boot screen and freeze up.I tried all the tech tips i could find and still couldnt get it to work.I RMA'd it.Now i have the second card and find out it is probably my Comp.I tried it in an older Compaq i have, with a 275w P/S btw,and it boots up and card works. The Compaq has a univ. AGP slot in it.My main comp. has a 1.5v agp slot, and the card is a 1.5v.The new card doesnt do anything at all in my main comp.Whether, the power conn. to card is connected or not,I only get the usual "No signal" error on monitor, and no boot. However, when i remove the card from my comp,i go into the bios and it has the settings for the card. ie; agp=3.0, transf.= 8x ,512mb.So im baffled as to what could be causing this.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am currently using an old old Radeon 7500 agp card (universal agp btw),and yes i uninstalled the display drivers before trying the x1650 card. Thanks in advance. |

What kind of power supply are you using? You need at least a 350w quality power supply.
