ATI Sapphire Radeon 9600 Atlantis problem with black screen after leaving computer on
Hello,
I have problem with this mentioned card and I've pinpointed that the problems always occur when: 1) I've left computer idle and 2) Haven't turned off monitor Basically the monitor will show up as if it was still on, but screen is black. Turning monitor off and back on won't help. Restarting computer won't help. Unplugging and plugging computer helps sometimes, but just a moment ago I had to unplug everything, cleaned up inside of computer just in case and then plugged everything back. After that I managed to get it working. I disabled that turn-off-monitor-after-20-minutes setting on Windows, which seems like logical cause of this problem. Anyone have this same problem? My computer stats: (just over 3 years old) Windows XP home SP2 Motherboard is ASUS X-series K8V-X (BIOS Rev. 2.00) Monitor is 17'' TFT E-Yama (there's some scratches at monitor cable and it was bent but I don't think it matters) Video card driver is dated 13.6.2007 and version is 8.383.0.0. Thank you for help! |
