Slow, and no improvement

NWN2 and RCT3 with a full park ran with about 20 fps at my pc when my ATI Radeon X1950 was installed. Today I bought an ATI Radeon HD3870, which is a great improvement, but my games don't go any smoother! ***?!?!

Why is this?

My other system specs are:

Windows XP Prof 32-bit
2,4 GHz dual core processor (AMD)
4GB DDR2 RAM(though my windows being 32-bit will limit it to 3,2GB, or so I've heard)

Re: Slow, and no improvement

I have a 550W power supply unit. The box of my new video card says it needs 450W. So that should be OK...

Re: Slow, and no improvement

My processor temperature is 40 degrees celcius, and the other temperature(I don't recall what it was for) was below that. As for what's running in the background, I'm going to reboot my pc now, and then check it out.
