[SOLVED] dell xps 420 expansion slots

so i just bought my first company computer a dell xps 420 with a nvidia 512mb gts video card

so i want to put another nvidia gts(that i have from a previous build) in the computer but i don't know if the bay has room and no one at dell seems to knowledgeable enough to tell me

also they said i would void my warranty if i opened it up and i don't want to open it up to add another card in if the bay is already full

pls help

It appears your board has one 16x pci-e express slot and one 8x pci-e slot. Tho I'm not entirely sure if you can sli with this board. Also , are the two cards 8600's? Also what wattage is the psu, I guess you would have to open it to find out. Its lot listed in it specifications.

Ok i double checked and your pc has 1 pci-e 16x slot and thats it. it has a pci-e 8x slot which can be converted to a pci-e 16x slot but it will only run at 8x speed and you wont be able to Sli the cards.
