Alternative of GeForce4 MX 440?
Hi. Recently I found a lot of PC games that do not support GeForce MX series cards. Although I do not know exactly the motherboard used in my PC, I wonder if there are other graphic cards with the same compatibility as GeForce4 MX 440 (my current card)? Would be nice if I can just get another graphic card instead of a whole new PC.
For a bit more information about my PC that I know: CPU - Intel Platinum 4 1.72GB RAM - 512 MB OS - Windows XP Pro Thanks! |

Re: Alternative of GeForce4 MX 440?
Yea the geforce 4's days are up lol. But yes there are several video cards you could upgrade to. Not to mention ram. But need to know if your card is AGP or PCI-E. I'm guessing your card is agp and you ram is ddr. You could probly also upgrade that cpu too.
So need to know agp or pci-e , and if you want to upgrade anything else. It wouldn't cost much at all to max it out.

Re: Alternative of GeForce4 MX 440?
I'm not at my own PC right now so I can only guess from some research and memories of how the connector looks that, it is AGP and I probably don't have a PCI-E slot.

Ok thats what I was assuming , how much are you willing to pay for a new video card? Also you can upgrade your ram and cpu , wouldn't cost much and would definitely help. But need to know what psu it has in it , brand and wattage. And need to know the mobo model number.
