Help with new graphics card

I recently just bought a Velocity Micro Promagix T1000 about 4 days ago which can be found here.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8623778&st=t1000&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1193451922256
The Best Buy store didn't have the graphics card that I was looking for which is the 8800 GT OC. I bought the 8600GTS instead. The 8800 GT OC finally came in yesterday. I got home, installed it, and now when I hit the power button on my computer the screen stays blank and the computer won't even boot to the post screen. My motherboard is an Abit AN-M2. It is not the graphics card because I went down to Best Buy and exchanged ny first 8800 GT OC for a new one. I installed the second one and still got the same results. Could someone please tell me what's going on here?

Re: Help with new graphics card

What PSU do you have?

You will need around 500w of a quality supply minimum for the 8800GT.

Re: Help with new graphics card

What brand is it? And how many amps on the 12V+ Rail(s)?

(For this information you will need to look at the sticker on the side of the power supply).

Re: Help with new graphics card

Reading the user manual that came with the power supply. Says the maximum combined current for the +12V1, +12V2, +12V3, and +12V4 is 41 A.
