Sapphire HD 3780 Issue
Hey everyone, I'm having a little issue with the computer I just built which has got my knickers in quite the "bunch" as some say.
I've been using the PC for almost a month and had nothing but good things to say about it, that was until today. I needed to transport my computer back home from university for the holidays and wouldn't you know that when I tried to set it up again today my monitor wasn't detecting a signal from my graphics card (the HD 3870). Now when I boot up the graphics card still runs the fan, so I know it's noto a power issue. And I took it out and put it back in three or four times, so I'm pretty confident it's not an istallation issue. Also I tried hooking it up to my mother's monitor where it also didn't work, so I've narrowed it down to I'm stumped. I'm using a VGA Benq LCD monitor, old but it's still kicking, and the DVI to VGA adapter that came with my 3870. Now that's what I'm hoping that the issue is but I don't want to rush out and get another adapter if the problem is much larger than that. I'm willing to take anything you guys have to say so I can get my PC up and runing again. |
