Mistake video card?

prolly is a stupid question, but do i need to uninstall my graphics card to update my motherboard chipset?

No. But however it is wise to re-install (or update) graphical drivers and Direct X 9.0c after you have installed new motherboard drivers.

thx aus i reinstalled dx but my test direct3d does not work, it has hresult=0x80004005 (generic failer) error when trying to run it. i did a clean install of winxp and all drivers. i have an radeon 9550 and latest driver for that and my chipset, still dont work any suggestions???
