Re: Need help choosing card

Yea 8800 is a monster an the 8600 is like a regular midrange card. With the 8800 you could turn almost any game all the way up as opposed to a 8600 which will probly play everything on medium settings. Evga , pny , seems to be good brands for the 8800. But if you get an 8800 youll need a massive psu to go with it. 650w min.

Re: Need help choosing card

I'm refering to any model 8800 should at least have a 650w psu, but i think you could squeeze by with a 600W. 600 is plenty for a 8600 but you could cut it close with the 8800

Re: Need help choosing card

Depends what brand the PSU is and how many Amps it has on the 12v+ line. (26a for PCI-E is required)
