radeon 9000 mobile wanted

I am having trouble with my dellinspiron 8200.Yer I know now I shouldn't have bought it.But here it is it cost me a fortune a feww years ago and dell don't want to know about it. So anyway I believe the problem is the radeon 9000 graohics card. I have removed it and am looking to get a replacement. Can anyone tell me if this is still an on the shelf product or a secondhand situation.Is a dell one different from any other? can I use other graphics cards? would the motherboard have shared graphics onboard and would this mean I don"t need a dedicated graphics card?
I have found dell to be complete bastards when it comes to after waranty support.

Try eBay for this item. laptop video cards are special-made items and can't be bought at retail stores.

Is that a laptop? How did you remove the graphics card? I dont even think thats possible.

Some are discrete devices that plug in with a proprietary connector similar to AGP and PCI. The MXM standard being supported by nVidia is a design that will allow virtually ANY miniaturized video card be used in ANY laptop with an MXM connector.
