Widescreen Video Card Upgrade Compaq SR1330NX
Just purchased a Lenovo 19 widescreen monitor for my Compaq SR1330NX, only to find out the factory installed video card won't support the 1440X900 resolution. Am I correct to assume the white plastic card slots indicates this machine requires a PCI card (not express) ? I don't do any gaming but would like the DVD applications to run smoothly.
Any recommendations on brand, type, capacity, source etc.? How many MB's card memory do I need? This PC's 4 to 5 years old now and I've already been thru the device manager route to verify I can't up the resolution on the factory card. Any of you gamers have a video card left over from your upgrade that would meet my needs? Happy Holidays! Bix |
