I want to do a bit of upgrading from my onboard video to a card. 256 will be plenty and I don't need any state of the art cards. However, I am not sure what to look for. My main board is older but the info on it says it is a P4X400-8235 made by Elitegroup and it has 1 AGP and 4 PCI expansion slots. Two PCI's are available and the info on them says PCI 32-bit +5V PME Full-Length Available. Can someone tell me what description to look for in a video card to purchase one for the machine. Thanks for any assist. George

Thanks for your response. I'd have gone for a PCI otherwise. No games but I notice that when I am playing a movie it tends to pause and break up a bit periodically. Are there any other factors that I should be mindful of? Thanks again. George
