ATI Radeon X1650 agp black screen on windows on DVI
Amazing, I'm having the same problem with a card I bought today!! I have an HIS ATI Radeon X1650 Pro AGP which is not able to handle DVI.
When connected to DVI the screen flickers black every 30 seconds on the desktop, more often when you're opening or closing apps. Then in videos or games it's like a bad tv reception... I thought at first it was my PSU (300W - but antec, is still way below specs) - but then I tried the VGA (analogue) instead and it works fine. Games run like they should. Obviously I want DVI to work, I've poked around and it seems it may be some sort of vbios problem with compatibility with some monitors... I've sent emails to both HIS and ATI and am awaiting a response! ![]() PS my monitor's an ASUS MW221u 22", computer's an AMD 2800+ with 2gb ram and an ABIT NF7 v2.0 m/board. Also my previous card a 9600XT worked fine with this monitor in DVI mode...
