Exclamation PCIexpress / AGP

hi friends .... i am doing my diploma in hardware & networking ... in my work book they have asked to identify the different slots in the motherboard .
I am having difficulty differentiating between PCIexpress & AGP slots as the pictures are in blacknwhite .... so i am unable to identify them based on color of the slots . Main problem is with x16PCIe n AGP ...... so can anybody tell me the easy way to identify them ????

thanks

Re: PCIexpress / AGP

Agp slot is brown, in all of the boards Ive worked on. The pci-e is black,
not sure if that is standard.

Re: PCIexpress / AGP

My PCI-E slots are white, but longer than AGP.

Re: PCIexpress / AGP

PCI-E is longer, but the color varies. My pci-e slots are orange.

AGP is generally brown, however not ALWAYS. I've seen some that were bright orange, green, etc on gigabyte boards.

Re: PCIexpress / AGP

The key markings is the best way to distringuish between PCI-E x16 and AGP, like the other user mentioned AGP = 3 Key slots PCI-E x16 = 2 Key slots. Also the length, but the obvious is the key slots.
