Dual Monitors, Identified differently in XP and Vista
Hello,
I recently bought 2 LG 21.6" widescreen monitors, and have attached them to my 7950GT video card. I had to change them around when I booted into Vista (my main OS of a dual boot system) as they were identified backwards (left was #2, right was #1). I thought I just messed up. The other day, when I booted into XP, the screens were backwards. So, my problem is that Windowx XP and Vista do not identify the screens in the same order (when I click Identify Screens). XP shows: Right-2, Left-1 Vista shows: Right-1, Left-2 I have updated drivers for the video card in both OSs, and computer specs are below. Anyone have any advice? I'm pretty sure its Vista that identifies them backwards, but am not certain. Motherboard: Asus M2N-E, nForce 570 Ultra CPU: AMD Athlon 64 5200+ Windsor RAM: Kingston 2GB DDR2 800 HDD: Western Digital Caviar WD2500YS 250GB Sata2 DVD: LG Burner PS: Enermax NoiseTaker II 465W VID: ASUS 512MB GeForce 7950GT PCI Ex16 OS: Win XP Pro 32bit, Win Vista Ultimate 32bit |
