monitor no signal, video card not regonized
I need some help,
The other morning I turn my PC on and no signal to the FPD1760 LCD monitor,I was using a DVI from a GE-Force 6500.I unplug that and switch over to my analog in-board (G6100) and the signal comes back,...so I figured a burned up my card, which surprised me because it is less then a year old.I wanted to upgrade anyways so I went and purchased a GE-Force 8400 GS,I followed the installation procedure, but the Hardware Wizard does not come on.I disabled the G6100,updated the drivers and BIOS and no luck again. The PC was working fine the night before and the only update I received that night was from Windows was for the Media Center,I have a Gateway GT5032 AMD 64 4200+2 with 2 RAM,ASUS C51GU01 motherboard,500w power(upgraded too),I did switch over my default at start-up too.I even reinstalled the G6500 just to see what would happen and the Wizard doesn't regonize it either,..Is my PCI-E slot fried??It only has one so I can go that route.I am not a PC wiz at all and learning as I go,...can anyone help??,..I using Windows XP home fully updated THX,Clint Last edited by bombie1138; 11-21-2007 at 04:26 PM.
