screen goes black w/install of 1650 agp pro

when i install the 1650 everything goes blank
I'm running 2.66 intel
1.5gig of mem
updated chipset's,and motherboard bios.
power suppy is antec 500 watt.

I could used some help PLEASE.I've been up all night and would like to get to the bottom of the problem

Having a similar prob, as are a number of people i think... what monitor you using and are u using DVI? have you tried VGA?

i have a 19" flat panel AMW

What video card were you using before?
Did you uninstall the old drivers?

hi, I was previously on a 9600XT which worked with no problems, I did uninstall the other drivers, and have tried 4 different versions with the new card including the ones released this week from ATI... no love!

... so jp yours wouldn't work even with VGA i've not heard that problem with them before it's always DVI?

ADHUNT. i was using a ati 9250, had no problems with install or using..I removed all drivers even the one for the mobo intel graphics controller that came with the motherboard ...I now have a dispute with ATI AND WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT THE EGG HEADS SAY..
