options: of the video card variety

So im looking for a video card, but to be honest, as a n00b i am only confused by all the different kinds out there.... lol
at any rate, i want the best i can get for my computer. yes, i know its old,
but i cant afford a new one (the best i can do is bits and peices on the one ive already got)
anyway heres some good old belarc analysis of my system:


Operating System
Windows Millennium Edition (build 4.90.3000
By the middle of next week ill have upgraded to windows xp sp2,
so that may make a difference

Processor a
1000 megahertz Intel Pentium III
32 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Its is a short name for accelerated graphics port.. It is most likely what you have inside you computer. As it has windows ME you do not have a PCI express slot..

I mean I can get you cheaper ones but it all depends on what you wanna play..That card can play FEAR on high

its been awhile, but i checked and im pretty sure i dont have an agp slot on my mobo. Ive got four pci slots, but no agp. so i guess that wouldnt work?

When you look inside your pc are any of the pci slots longer? Or a different color.. If not I could suggest a good pci card..
