Late Booting
Hi. When I turn my computer on (or restart my computer), it takes too long time to start booting (when the monitor led turns on). Then it boots normally until the moment at which my desktop should appear, at this moment the monitor goes off although the system seems to be working normally.
I've got a BLUE "drvstore" folder in my Windows folder. Would you please help me? |

Re: Late Booting
Hi, and welcome to TSF,
![]() To clarify, can you get into Windows at all? Many LCD monitors I have seen tend to "delay" when you turn on your computer as if they are not receiving the signal right away. This is pretty normal. As for your display disappearing right before the welcome/login screen, if it goes away and doesn't come back it sounds like you have an incorrect video driver in which case you should boot into safe mode (with networking) and reinstall the correct driver. Once these issues are solved we will look at the drvstore folder.

Re: Late Booting
Hello again and thank you for your kindness.
As I mentioned, the system seems to get into windows but I can't see it because the monitor goes off (No signal). For example, I could restart the system (in spite of the turned off monitor) by pressing alt+F4 then two right arrows then Enter. By the way, my monitor is not an LCD. I've already tried to reinstall my display driver many times but the problem is still exist. |

Re: Late Booting
Boot into safe mode and just uninstall your video card driver. Windows will then use a default VGA driver. Post your computer model and we can find a (different) driver for it.
If it is a CRT then there exists a "warm up" time of about 3 - 5 seconds where the CRT will have to warm up from being off.
