stopping me from overclocking more

rivatuner has put my 6800 xt to about 377 (from 300) core clock and 777 (from 700) memory. but i want to go further but when i increase the scales riva says "the driver failed to pass the initial test with the clock frequences you are about to set"

anyone know how to increase more? i am doing my own testing when increasing using 3dmark and my games. using this guide http://forums.guru3d.com//showthread.php?t=74787

know a better guide? this is a few years old

are you using the latest version of rivatuner there was a new one released a few days ago
