agp Geforce 7800 gsoc help please!

I just carnt get this card working on my system.... when putting in the drivers after a while the monitor just shuts down !

have tryed different drivers,formating ,got a better powerfull power supply etc

When i first got this card i was on a pre service pack2 xp pro o/s[THEN IT WORKED] so my system can handle it

now i have genuine xp home

the card worked on the pre service pack2 xp pro o/s

[I would reinstall this old pre service pack2 xp pro o/s again but my cd is now corrupted and will not load!]....help......

but wont on this genuine O/S
how could that be???

i think its something to do with the PRE SERVICE PACK 2!!! being different but you guys are the experts yes?

get ahold of a XP PRO image (google+torrent), mout it in Daemon tools then burn it using nero/cd copy. format the hd then install this XP. make shure you're not connected 2 internet until you install an antivirus (you WILL get infected with pre sp2) . Install dx9c, mobo drivers, vga driver. if it still does't work 100 % shure it's not software.

//hardware. in mobo BIOS try disabling fastwrites, setting agp to 4x & agp aperture to 128meg. alternate settings.

Have you tried windex?

I have had that happen to my windows cd but I went out and bought some White wax and covered the cd with it and took a nice soft rag and cleaned it off.. The wax will fill in the lines... It is cheaper than paying another 100 bucks for another cd..

Other than that do not download illegal copies of Windows

just like shoe polish that is white.. I meant shoe polish not wax lol.. Windex is just glass cleaner than might get crud off your cd

Hey if ur seeing artifacts prior too booting and no signal when windows start or if windows start only in safemode with ur gfx card ;also if ur card gettin heated more than ususal when put in slot for just about 5minutes;Consider replacing it by contacting ur vendor and just try the card on another pc which will be a foolproof check.
Note :roll back any overclocking if done to it

Think ill get the cd professionally repaired for £2.50....just found out i can get it done
btw it was fresh install no over clock etc...carnt see artifact or anything as monitor shuts down.
