What is the best temperature a 8800GTS runs at and its max. I have a lot of cooling fans all over the place but i still carnt seem to keep the cards idle under 64c and when its on load its about 70-75c depending on how graphically intense the game is. Ive been looking through other forums most people say load is 70-80c and idle is 50-60c. Is that true. Looking at all these other forums makes me think they have no clue because they all have different answers. One even states that it can properly function at 100c.
Also will having the GPU fan at 100% all the time increase the chance that the fan will fail. The stock speed is 60% but ive pushed it to 70% just to keep the idle temp 65c. It kind of seems that Nvidia have supplied us with an inadequate heatsink and fan.
