No red displayed
Yes, that is correct. No red is displayed. But let me put this out there right now, it is NOT the monitor. I have tried two other monitors that both function completely normally and they lost their red when plugged in.
The red disappears at seemingly random times, and randomly fixes itself as well. So options? Monitor port? My Nvidia 6100 chipset? Possibly some weird software thing? It won't fix itself when the computer restarts or when the displays settings are toyed with. It, like I said earlier, seems to randomly occur and fix. I have tried cleaning out the case, and the port. And, I repeat, it is NOT the monitor. Doesn't matter how many times I say that someone always says "well try another monitor" so I am stressing that right now. Any suggestions on cleaning the port properly or some other solution? To clean all I did was spray compressed air into the port. Newest drivers, rolled them back, uninstalled them completely, reinstalled them, updated all hardware. WinXP Media 1gig RAM GeForce 6100 integrated X2 4800 Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks. |

Re: No red displayed
It might be a faulty Graphics Card, usually with a restart it will reset all software, and if u say it still occurs after a restart then thats the only explanation. Have you tried the card in a different PC.
