XFX 8600GTS is not working

I have a new XFX 8600GTS and a new XFX 680i LT SLI Motherboard. AND AND I an running 2 gb of ram. Now how do I get it to work? The BIOS will come up. F8 works but then nothing. Everthing I do is the same. Could some one pleas tell me how to get this thing working! Or should I put everthing back into the box(s) and tell nForce what they can play hard with.

Have you installed an operation system. Example. XP, Vista. If you have added a new Motherboard the current operating system will nolonger work which means you will need to do a fresh re-install. By inserting the OS Disc.

The OS (XP) lode up screen appeir so I don't think thats the problem. Every thing is good up to... I can even go to the os start menu.

What video card did you use before?
Did you remove the old drivers? You can do that in safe mode.

I just talking to a friend (navy geek) and he say Aus Kalos is right. With the new chip set I need to install the os. So I going ot grab a quick fix disk from tigerdirect. I do not know any one with a XP install disk. Does this sound like a good idea?

yeah buy the OS it's legal.

If you get the Windows version you're using now you can perform a repair install.
