Desktop will not fit on monitor problem
Quote:
I tried the 94 series, no help there. I am using a dual link-DVI cable. I haven't been able to find any other information on this problem. |

So far I've notice people with similar problems having the following solutions: Only one output is Duel (I've tried both) They're not using a Duel cable (I've made sure to) Their graphics card doesn't support Duel (I'm using the 6800 which should) They're using out of date drivers for their graphics card (I've tried alteast 3 different versions) They did not install the drivers for the monitor (I installed the ones on the install disc as well as off the website). Given the nature of the problem and the fact that I have yet to solve it, I'm assuming is some minor bug which is screwing me over. Most likely I will eventually just upgrade my graphics card (its getting about that time) and the problem will go away. However, it bothers me that such a simple problem exists without a solution. My gut instinct is that some how the graphics card thinks its sending across a single when its actually a duel. I'm not sure if that helps. |

Although Powerstrip seems to indicate that the driver correctly identifies the monitor as supporting 2560x1600, leading me to believe the problem is in the nvidia drivers. |
