VGA and RGB

Hi
I am looking to purchase an Acer 19" Widescreen Monitor. My questions are what is (1xVGA-15 pin HD D-Sub C HD-15) mean and what does RGB mean. Also this monitor does not come with speakers. Can I use the speakers I hve from my Compaq MV520. Thnks for any help.

VGA means Video Graphics Array
15 Pins merely refers to the number of pins in the cable.
D-Sub is a common connector

RGB - Red Green Blue.

You should be able to use your speakers, as long as they are external.
