Pin [SOLVED] display is not right- brand new geforce 8800gts superclocked

I have a basically brand new computer, bought in august, and just put in a evga geforce 8800gts superclocked. I previously had a geforce 8400 so it was a step up in graphics and for the most part it works. But for some reason the colors are kind of off even though I did what setup told me to. And the worst thing is that everything is kind of fuzzy. So before I go screwing things up and wasting time I'm going to rely on you guys for input. Oh, maybe i just need confirmation because the card requires 400 wats and I only supply 350? do you think thats it? Rather not buy more power if i don't have to.

If you have 350W then you are Seriously underpowered. You need At least an Antec trio 650W ( 3x 18A rails IIRC ), but it is recommended that you spend a few extra $$ and get the OCZ GameXtreme 700W.

The Minimum for the card is 400W, but that doesnt really take into account the rest of the system etc. The 8800 requires around 100Watts on it own.

but do you think thats whats causing the problems I'm having? I don't have a high power system...I don't think so anyway...is there a way to see how much power I need? But other than that I don't see why I would need 600.

Put your System Specs into here and add 30% to the final Wattage.

It depends how high-end your system is. You may just get away with the Antec trio 550W if the rest of your system requires little power.

Although i recommend:

Antec trio 650W

OCZ GameXtreme 700W

Remember - You can Never Have too much power - More is better.

If you post the rest of your System we can pick an Appropriate Power supply unit. Problem is alot of people forget about how much power the newer Technology needs to run untill nothing works or they recieve errors.

Yes you should have more than you need right now as the PSU gets older it will deteriorate and not give enough power and if you want to upgrade in the future you won't need to buy a PSU.
